These are my thoughts on having cancer. I am offering no advice. It's just one woman's thoughts on fighting the good fight.

Feeling bad

I went to Look Good Feel Better and it made me feel
terrible. There were around ten of us. I sat next
to a woman and her daughter. The daughter was
22 and had melanoma.

The woman in charge wasn't very nice. She
had us go around the table and introduce
ourselves and our illness. I don't think that Is
necessary. I hate the lack of privacy that
goes along with cancer.

Anyhow the young woman had shaved
her head not quite bald. She had a very beautiful face.
I'm guessing she was colombian. Her mother
told me that she couldn't sleep or stop crying
because of her daughter.

There was also a young woman with a three
week old baby who was diagnosed with breast
cancer two days before she delivered.

We took off our wigs and told each other how
great we looked and pretended for a while
that we weren't dealing with death.

Seriously, how do you bear up under that?
